Connexions hosts Apprentice day!
Apprentice
hopefuls from Mansfield and surrounding areas were invited to
attend the Mansfield Connexions Apprenticeship day on Tuesday July
14th 2009.
The event was
designed to encourage young people interested in taking up an
Apprenticeship to take that first step and come along and see what
opportunities were on offer in the area.
The event
ran from 10am to 2pm and took place at the Mansfield
Connexions centre at 30-32 Regent Street in the
town.
Many of the
biggest training providers, including Carillion, West
Nottinghamshire College and Access Training, were present to talk
about Apprenticeship options.
Connexions Young Person’s Adviser,
Karen Lancaster, said: “It’s an open house. Any young person in the
Mansfield area who is interested in an Apprenticeship can pop in
and talk to a training provider about opportunities. Connexions
employment advisers will also be available for help with CVs,
applying for jobs and training places.”

had a stand and were available to talk about job and training
opportunities available throughout Nottinghamshire. Young people
can also get help with searching Connexions job vacancy site,
Vacancies Online, which has 100s of job and training opportunities
through Nottinghamshire.
