Job and training seekers from Kirkby in Ashfield and surrounding areas are invited to attend the Ashfield Opportunities Information Day Connexions Apprenticeship day on Wednesday 17th January.
The event is designed to encourage young people interested in taking up a job or training place to take that first step and come along and see what opportunities are on offer in the area.
The event is also open to adults, who are unemployed, have been made redundant or facing redundancy or those just looking for some careers advice.
The event, which runs from 10am to 3pm, will take place at the Kirkby in Ashfield Connexions centre on Morley Street in Kirkby.
On the day young people and adults can:

Talk to training providers who have opportunities available

Apply for Apprenticeships and other training
- Speak to local employers
- Get information and advice
- Enter a Prize Draw to win £30 of shopping vouchers
- Free refreshments will be available
Connexions Ashfield Team Manager, says: “We wanted to run an event where both local young people and adults could come along to the centre, have a cuppa and discuss their career options. There will be employers and training providers available to talk about local opportunities. Personal Advisers and Connexions employment advisers will also be available for help with applying for jobs and training places.”
