in year 11 with exams imminent then there's no doubt that they'll
be feeling the pressure too. Exam times are extremely stressful for
young people and it can be difficult for parents to know how best
to support them.
Your son or daughter may
have started their revision, sorted out their revision
timetable and they may have even started their exams.

As a parent you may also
be able to help by:
- ensuring they have a comfortable place to study - this
doesn't necessarily mean quiet, some people work better with
background music no matter how noisy it sounds to you!
- re-working family schedules so they have time to revise
- assisting them to work out exam timetables
- being patient if they suffer from mood swings
- ensuring they have a healthy balanced diet
- encouraging them to take breaks and exercise
- offering to test them
- helping them get everything together that they may need for
their exams
- wishing them luck and reassuring them that you know they'll do
their best
Good luck!
