Be prepared!
In Year 10 it's time for your son or daughter to think about
what they want to do when they leave school. Whether they've chosen
an academic, vocational or the diploma route, they need to examine
what opportunities are going to be available after they finish Year
11. It's never too early to start planning their future. In year
10, they may be able to experience a work placement which might
help them make up their mind.
It's a good idea for them to get an idea of what they would like
to do and then talk to their Connexions Adviser about the
opportunities.
Basically, after Year 11, your son or daughter will have three main
options. They are
If your teenager doesn’t feel ready to start a course,
Apprenticeship or job, they can do an Entry to Employment
(e2e)
programme.
